Links senior companions as older volunteers (age60+) with frail older persons to provide in-home services in Fayette, Lauderdale and TiptonCounties. The program is coordinated with The Corporation for National and Community Service and the host agencies in each of the three counties. Senior Companion pairs active, low-income senior citizens with homebound, disabled or critically ill peers. Companions provide respite to family caregivers, assist with errands such as grocery shopping, bill paying and other daily living tasks that promote independent living.
