Options for Community Living Program

Tennessee’s Options for Community Living Program is designed to provide consumers home and community-based services choices.  Tennessee families want to care for loved ones at home for as long as possible.  Public funding for long-term care should afford Tennesseans who are in need a choice of a broad array of home and community-based services and should not be limited to institutional care.  The purpose of the Options program is to enable consumers to live independently in their own homes or in a community-integrated setting.  The Options program is designed to allow ready access to community resources in order to improve quality of life for consumers and caregivers.  The Options program is further intended to promote increased coordination in planning, incorporating consumer input, preferences, and consumer selection of providers as well as services.
