The Aging Commission of the Mid-South provides a comfortable alternative to nursing home placement through its Home & Community-Based Services (HCBS) Programs. In home services such as personal care, homemaker, home delivered meals, and personal emergency response systems are provided through our partnership with local provider agencies. The Aging Commission completes in-home assessments on potential clients to identify their care, service needs and their eligibility. There are four different types of HCBS programs that the Aging Commission offers. They are:

With funds provided by the Older Americans Act and the Tennessee Commission on Aging & Disability, the Aging Commission is able to provide a wide range of community programs. We provide funding to local organizations to support senior centers and recreation activities for older adults and adults with disabilities, transportation, caregiver education and training, congregate meals and physical fitness and more.
